Mr. Imoto holds degrees in Agriculture from Tokyo University of Agriculture and in Buddhist Studies from Rissho University.
With extensive experience in international cooperation, peacebuilding, and agricultural development, he has worked across Asia and Africa, including field missions in Somalia and Cambodia with the Japan International Volunteer Center.
In Myanmar, he has led grassroots initiatives supporting ethnic minorities and post-war remains recovery efforts. As a Buddhist monk, he has built interfaith and regional networks across more than 20 countries, combining spirituality with practical social engagement.
He currently serves as a Specially Appointed Professor at Japan University of Economics.
